The Soloist. It's a name from deep in our history, but immediately familiar to anyone with bike racing memories extending back to the early-2000s. It was the weapon of choice for top World Tour contenders on CSC and the Cervelo Test Team, and we're bringing it back for a new generation. The new Soloist is designed for the week-in, week-out rider and racer who can only justify one high-performance bike. It balances light weight and aerodynamic advantages to deliver a bike that really is 'just right'. Soloist comes in a hair lighter than S5, but significantly more aerodynamic than R5, and borrows the threaded bottom bracket standard you find on the R5-CX. It's a race bike that can accommodate mechanical and electronic shifting, can hammer out the training miles in all weather, and yet still has the chops to leap off the front at that decisive moment. That's the Soloist.

We engineered Áspero for pure, unapologetic speed, ready to take down finish lines, KOMs, PRs, and FKTs. A bike built without limits, for the riders looking to test them. It's stiff-Classics-racing- stiff and performs like you'd want a road bike to perform off-road. We think that makes sense, and it's what we were trying to do when we were stuffing bigger tires into our existing frames and swapping in aftermarket forks to get a 40mm tire up front. MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS - We designed Aspero with clearance for up to 700c x 40mm tires or 650b x 49mm tires. Of course, there are variables—rim width, tire casing, and tread depth—which will affect final clearance. We always recommend 4mm of clearance between the tire and frame. TWO-POSITION ADJUSTMENT - Trail (front-wheel response to rider input) is the most critical factor in high-velocity handling. Flipping the two-position "Trail Mixer" to compensate for the difference in circumference between a 650b and 700c tire maintains consistent handling by maintaining consistent trail figures. BALANCED HANDLING - Stiffness and handling work together to ensure the bike tracks predictably and responds immediately to critical pedal and bracing inputs.

Our engineers like to joke that, "if it looks fast, it probably is." But there's some truth to that, and Áspero-5 looks fast standing still. No cables in the wind, tube shapes from our aerodynamically-proven library, and a hint of a cut-out in the seat tube, all add up to a bike that proves the adage. - Lightweight Speed Some might say aero doesn't matter on a gravel bike, but if you've battled a headwind across an open prairie, the thirty-two grams of drag you'll save with the Áspero-5 come as a welcome respite. Most gravel racing is done without the benefit of a World Tour peloton—or World Tour tactics—and when it's your nose in the wind all day, it's nice to know your bike's shouldering a bit of the load. - Two Position Adjustment Trail—front-wheel response to rider input—is the most critical factor in high-velocity handling. The integration of a power meter results in better stiffness, lighter weight, and improved accuracy over aftermarket solutions—and the DZero delivers power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in variable temperatures.

The 2023 Astra pushes the limits farther than any version before it and does so with a good dose of style. Produced entirely in house by the skilled hands of the Basso staff, the latest version of the Astra model incorporates a great deal of technology that derives from its upper tier siblings and adopts a design that follows a tighter family feeling than ever before. True to its Basso DNA the Astra is a thoroughbred racehorse ready to take you further, faster and with more confidence. The straight fork and rear triangle take design cues from their higher tier brethren on the SV and as such incorporate a similar reactive and responsive handling. Basso developed geometry studied to confer the perfect blend of snappy handling and acceleration and a comfortable position for the long haul. Constructed from 100% 3k Torayca High Modulous Carbon Fiber from a blend of T700 and MR60 fibers, the Astra is capable of offering performance on par with its higher tier siblings with the only compromise coming in the form of a few extra grams. Constructed by hand, in house, the Astra, just as the rest of Basso frames, are made to be as beautiful inside as out. Versatility and completeness Astra maintains its vocation for road cycling, but the attention to detail has made it less nervous and more comfortable. Light but without pushing the carbon of the frame to the extreme (which weighs about 980 g), it adopts Basso’s high-profile technological solutions. The 35 mm tire clearance allows you to mount wider tires and venture beyond the tarmac on light dirt roads. The integrated cables with Paradigma technology and the All Road handlebar by Microtech increase safety and comfort, while maintaining clean aesthetics.

It has been 22 years since the first Diamante was released. 22 years in which Diamante has gone through 8 evolutions to become what it is today: the most Basso bike of all. Our most long-running bike, stainless like any self-respecting diamond. A process of constant and meticulous improvement, often working on invisible details, capable of combining innovation aimed at the future and the legacy of over 45 years of Basso. Leaving the starting point to go elsewhere, outside your own schemes, to explore and then come back enriched, so as to evolve what you started from. A circular movement that becomes a spiral as it perfects itself, enclosing the past and the future. The spirit of Basso flows in the circular tubes of the Diamante frame. A shape that is not just an aesthetic solution but the research to obtain the best performance from a material, carbon. Devotion to the slopes Today Diamante confirms its vocation for climbs and descents. Careful engineering work has made it possible to further reduce the weight by over 200 grams, allowing the complete bike assembly to remain easily under the UCI weight limit (6.8 kg). A bicycle without an extra gram, designed to make each ride an exciting experience, an opportunity to challenge your limits. Contemporary classic A unique design, the result of extremely complex engineering, refined over the years detail by detail. A timeless aesthetic, capable of interpreting the contemporary. The search for the balance between lightness and stability, making the most of the characteristics of carefully hand-crafted carbon. The thickness of the tubes has been meticulously studied to give lightness and reactivity when climbing and stability when descending, even at high speeds. Ride, Perfected Stable, responsive, light, and playful. Diamante is a versatile road racing bike, designed to thrive in the most challenging ups and downs. A geometry that has been refined over the decades thanks to the kilometers traveled and the expertise in the manual processing of carbon, capable of achieving absolute performance through cutting-edge technological solutions. The result is an intense and engaging riding experience, ready to excite. The golden rule of Basso engineering We meticulously study carbon to enhance its characteristics through its shape. In the areas where energy is generated and discharged – the bottom bracket and steering area -, the circular shape, in addition to reducing the thickness and weight of the tubes, gives greater torsional rigidity, so that all the pedaling energy translates into progression and riding precision. This solution allows to obtain greater lightness, rigidity, and control, with the result of not losing power and acquiring stability. Integrated Handlebar Levita The Diamante tip for unprecedented handling: stiff, light, and ergonomic. Levita redefines the concept of riding precision in a heap of technology and aesthetic purity.

This solution allows to obtain greater lightness, rigidity and control, with the result of not losing power and acquiring stability. Integrated Handlebar Levita The Diamante tip for unprecedented handling: stiff, light, and ergonomic. Levita redefines the concept of riding precision in a heap of technology and aesthetic purity.

The next frontier. The proof that adventure can be competitive, that performance doesn’t require a race number, that exploration is better with adrenaline and speed…Comes in the form of Palta. Others observe, we experience: Others do gravel, we do Palta While others tried to define gravel, we marked our own path. Others tried to follow a definition that didn’t exist, we created one coherent with our DNA. Geometry Minor changes were made to the extremely versatile Palta geometry. - Sloping Increased sloping value to allow more seatpost exposure and flex leading to increased comfort. - Headtube Taller headtube for less spacers and more comfort. But we didn’t forget about the racers… Riders will have the possibility to mount the stem flush with the head tube for lower stack. Design The design of the Palta II follows the philosophy of maintaining the overwhelmingly long list of positive elements from the first version and improving, where possible. - Fork The unique geometry of the advanced fork stays confer both a more precise handling as well as vibration dampening to the ride quality. - Air Flow Larger spacing between tire and fork allows for better air flow and increased clearance.
